What is it with young people? Shopping at wal-mart yesterday I found a penny on the floor as I was checking out. It just so happened my items added to $5.36. I used the new penny and a ten dollar bill to pay. The clerk looked at me as if I had just screamed RAPE!! I couldn’t believe she didn’t know how to handle the transaction. I had to explain. I thought new cash registers did the work, even for brainless people. Guess not.
My tweens, 13 and 16 are usually here at my place on weekends. I’ve been divorced for about 8 years. The boy’s have a time adjusting. Especially the youngest. I’m reminded/reprimanded each weekend it’s my fault for breaking up with his mom. Even though I try to explain to him it takes “two”. The older of the two recently got a Drivers License. Nothing worries me more, but if the state of Maryland, which does not say much, thinks it’s okay for him to be on the highway, why should I worry.
